My journal has started on it's journey, I reluctantly posted it out yesterday. Reluctantly because it's become precious to me and I have to trust the postal services not to lose it. But on the plus side I'm so looking forward to seeing what the other artists create on my theme.

In this pouch above, I have sign in tags like seed markers and I'm asking them to put their name, the date and their favourite flower and then if they feel so inclined to put a tassel, bead or charm etc on it and I'm hoping to have them hanging from the spine of the journal at the end. When it returns I'm hoping to put a fabric cover on it.

Little letter to the artists

Let the fun commence!

  3. Your journal is really lovely. I can see why you are reluctant to trust it to the postal system. I hope that it returns safely.

  7. Heavenly indeed! So pretty. I can understand your reluctance to send it away but you just have to trust the postal service. Hope you love it even more when it returns eventually.

  8. Hi Sharon
your work is so lovely,I am going to begin a journal today, I have lots of bits and pieces just sitting around. I have been offered some exibition space and I am beginning to wonder if its a good idea as I already feel some panic. It alters the way I work as well. But the journal will be just for me so maybe I will relax if I work on it for a while.

  10. Oh my goodness, this is so beautiful. I've never made a journal before and have been thinking about creating one recently but I really wouldn't know where to start. I might have to dig through your archives for a bit of guidance and inspiration :)

  11. This is gorgeous!

I do hope you get it back. I lost one journal in a swap due to the postal system and I was so upset. It had my name, number and email addy huge as day on the journals inner cover and all I got back was the packaging.
