I participated in a Pass It On postcard swap organised by Cloth Paper Scissors magazine a while back and I got my swap postcard come through the door yesterday. It's by Toni Killefer and I love it. It will have pride of place in my studio. My scan really does not do it justice, with it's tiny little seed beads and the delicate stitching. I wonder who got mine?
I got this postcard entry off to Cloth Paper Scissors on Wednesday and just keeping everything crossed that it gets there by the deadline of the end of the month. I really enjoyed making it and wanted to keep it but off it's gone.
I was working on this postcard for the Cloth Paper Scissors Mail Art Affirmations swap but I was having trouble deciding on the affirmations to attach to it. I then learnt tonight that a friend has not been very well and so decided that I'd put on a quote about friendship and healing and send it on to her instead. I used a hindi script background, marbled tissue paper (using the shaving foam method) a paper napkin, a stamp and distress inks. Hope she likes it :)
