Oh my goodness

Has it really been nearly two weeks since I last blogged. Knew I'd been busy and stressed out but really ..... Have been doing some creative and nice things including working on some clothes hanger covers, trying out new colours, stripes and flowers etc.

Had a lovely time today, a friend came over and we had an art day, making and decorating a journal. The light is not good at the moment so I'll have to show you my progress tomorrow as photos just not up to scratch.

Also now off from work for two whole weeks - bliss and so, so needed. Planning to do lots of good things like knitting, painting, visiting cemetaries, exhibitions etc. So expect more frequent posts, lol.

Mail Art Affirmation

I was working on this postcard for the Cloth Paper Scissors Mail Art Affirmations swap but I was having trouble deciding on the affirmations to attach to it. I then learnt tonight that a friend has not been very well and so decided that I'd put on a quote about friendship and healing and send it on to her instead. I used a hindi script background, marbled tissue paper (using the shaving foam method) a paper napkin, a stamp and distress inks. Hope she likes it :)

Friends Art Play Day

Had some friends over yesterday for an Art Play Day. Taking my cue from Sarah Whitmire I set an art scavenger hunt and then we got together to use them in making individual collage canvases. As always we had a good chat, laughter, food and came up with such different results. Loved it girls, looking forward to our glass day next month!
